George is a member of ours who is retired but trades mainly Lay The Draw strategy as a part time pro. He took the chance to try out Rapid Racing Trading and report back to us here.
I’ve been doing Lay the Draw on football for a few years now.
Nothing fancy, just steady trades, bit of compounding, keeps the brain ticking over in retirement.
Horse racing always felt like a different beast. Too quick. Too many moving parts. And pre-race trading? I never really got it. Markets flying around before the off, everyone trying to be clever, it just didn’t appeal to me.
It seemed like whichever direction I thought the market was going in, would be the opposite once I was in.
But then I heard about in-running racing trading, and that’s what got my attention.
I had always hear “never go in-running” when trading racing so thought it was a fools errand.
But then as a Lay The Draw Mastery member I was offered an early invite to join Rapid Racing Trading. I have to admit I thought this might be one of those things I would look at but never take action on but it was a reasonable price in the end so I went for it.
I then realised this was something I could actually fit into my routine. Afternoon races, short trades, quick results. Felt like the perfect balance to my football trading, and it’s turned out to be just that.
At my age, a 2pm afternoon movie is usually the highlight of the afternoon before football in the evening so this was quite refreshing.
Simple, Practical, and Suited to My Style
I started with the main course, and within a few days I was up and running with K2 and K3.
K2 is a Back-to-Lay strategy with a bit more meat on it. You’re looking for a horse that’s likely to travel well, then using the live markets to squeeze out a profit quickly often within 30 seconds to a minute. It clicked with me instantly. (Feel free to edit if I give too much away)
K3, on the other hand, is more of a Lay-to-Back play. You’re laying a horse you expect to drift once the race starts, then backing it at a bigger price for a small, sharp win. I like how targeted it is you’re in and out fast, and when you spot the right setup, it feels very controlled.
I’ve been hitting an 80–90% success rate on these trades since starting. Not every day is perfect, and I’ve taken the odd punch, a big move the wrong way, a horse that suddenly finds another gear, but overall, the bank is ahead. And more importantly, growing.
I was also a bit worried about the pace of the races and whether I could actually keep up. But I can’t say that has been a problem, I stick to the time limits and, actually get out a bit earlier than the time limit, most of the time. Works for me so can’t comment on the behalf of others.
Trading That Suits My Life
Being retired, I’ve got time in the afternoons to focus on the racing cards. I usually trade the early to mid-afternoon races using K2 and K3, and by the time the football kicks off in the evening, I’ve already had a productive day.
I will also say I don’t overtrade. I pick my spots, stick to the system, and avoid the urge to force it. It’s surprisingly easy to build a rhythm with racing, especially when the course gives you a clear plan to follow.
Having that structure is what makes it work for me. You’re not staring at a blank screen wondering what to do, you’re working a system that’s been tested, with clear rules and proper trade logic behind it.
Handling the Losses
I won’t lie, the losses can sting. When a trade goes wrong, especially one you were confident about, it’s easy to feel like you’ve done something stupid. Most of the time you can limit your losses but, or maybe it is just me, there are some you can’t do anything about and they can be quite big. Often undoing a few winning trades from before.
This is frustrating but then there are days where I don’t have any losses.
Just like with lay the draw in football, losses are part of the game and your system needs to account for them. The wins are regular and consistent enough that the odd big hit doesn’t derail the bank.
I’ve learned to take it on the chin, log the result, and move on to the next opportunity. You have to treat it like a business, and this course does a good job reinforcing that mindset.
It is similar with my lay the draw trading. You can easily have a 100% day on most days, then the odd bad day. Just keep going and don’t withdraw till the end of the month.
Would I Recommend It?
Absolutely, especially if you’re like me.
If you’ve done football trading but always avoided racing because it felt too chaotic… this course is your gateway in. It breaks everything down clearly, shows you what to look for, and gives you systems that actually work in real markets.
No hype or nonsense. This is proper trading.
I use it side-by-side with my LTD strategy now, and I honestly can’t remember the last time I had a day where both let me down. Between the two, I feel like I’ve finally got a reliable, daily trading routine, and at my stage in life, that’s gold.
